Holding a doctorate in clinical and geropsychology, alongside dual master's degrees in suicidology and applied behaviour analysis. Her diverse career spans clinical practice in hospital and community settings, where she has adeptly addressed a wide array of psychosocial difficulties and disabilities. As a former lecturer, she has shared her insights with clinical master’s students and managed the university's assessment clinic, fostering the next generation of psychologists.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), Master of Science (Psychology—Health Psychology), and Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice from Massey University in New Zealand. She also worked with children and adolescents diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and FASD, specializing in multidisciplinary cognitive assessments focused on diagnosing FASD.
