We provide the following psycho-educational and neuropsychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
These include:
  • Cognitive and learning assessments
  • ASD diagnosis
  • ADHD diagnosis
  • Child development assessment
  • Psychosocial and personality
  • NDIS review
  • Bariatric pre-surgery psychological assessments

What is a psycho-educational assessment?
A psycho-educational assessment is performed by a psychologist and provides information regarding a child’s intellectual capacity, or cognitive functioning, and their academic strengths and weaknesses. This information can provide a clearer direction for families, schools and particularly for the class and specialist teachers and health service providers.

Psychosocial and personality
A personality assessment can assist with understanding why a person may be experiencing ongoing difficulties with interpersonal relationships at home, work or study. These assessments provide insight into how we perceive the world around us, and can take account of trauma, grief and loss and substance misuse.

NDIS
We can provide tailored reports to assist with NDIS funding and disability supports. These reports reflect your functioning across social, practical and conceptual domains, as well as outlining your needs and goals.

Why my child needs an assessment?
Learning difficulties can severely hinder learning and enjoyment of school and the education experience.
Signs of dyslexia, dyscalculia or dysgraphia, could be indicators of specific learning difficulties, which may impact your child’s behaviour and self-esteem. Other concerns can also be assessed such as poor working memory or processing speed. Once the difficulties are assessed and identified, an intervention plan will be developed to support your child.

Bariatric pre-surgery psychological assessments
A psychological evaluation provides valuable information to medical professionals to design an effective weight loss program. Pre-surgery assessment can assist with understanding motivation, preparation and emotional factors which can impact adjustments following surgery and associated lifestyle changes. This evaluation also assists the client to cope and prepare for the rigorous postoperative regimen later on.
